We are a diverse and growing group interested in building an open dialogue about protecting the values and resources of the Dolores river and its watershed. Our aim is to help develop and promote wise land use planning that recognizes the value in traditional multiple back county uses such as hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, ranching and timber harvesting, as well as the important place of modern and changing forest uses. We also work on habitat improvement projects on the Dolores River and it’s tributaries, as well as other on the ground projects to help restore and sustain our natural resources. Please contact us to join the discussion and get involved in the future of our lands in the San Juan Mountains and the magnificent Dolores River valley.
“Of all the questions which can come before this Nation, there is none which compares in importance with the great central task of leaving this land even a better land for our descendants than it is for us.” – President Theodore Roosevelt
